Overview
Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been declared a pandemic by the WHO. It is an enveloped virus which can cause respiratory illness in those infected. Coronavirus is spread from person to person via respiratory droplets which are spread whenever a person coughs, sneezes or exhales. A recent study has found that coronavirus can survive on plastic and metal surfaces for 2 to 3 days after they have become contaminated. A major risk factor to the spread of coronavirus is that those with mild symptoms may not get tested; however they can still pass it on to other members of the population.
The CDC recommends cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection as best practice to remove coronavirus from surfaces.
Our cleans also include steam cleaning of any carpeted surface that may act as a haven for coronavirus. All of our cleaning is followed by an ATP test which gives an instant result of the presence of any microbes on the tested surface.
The HVAC system of a building may also become contaminated due the recirculation of air containing these respiratory droplets as has been seen on many cruise ships. We offer cleaning and sanitisation of these mechanical ventilation systems to ensure these systems are free of any contamination.
